FLAMES FIELD
HOME OF UIC FLAMES SOCCER
The home of UIC soccer, Flames Field opened during the fall of 1996 and is one of the finest collegiate soccer fields in the Chicagoland area.
Designed and build specifically for varsity soccer, the natural grass field sits on the south end of the UIC campus, behind the Physical Education Building.
The soccer complex features a regulation-size field, permanent bleacher seating for 1,000 fans, a concession stand, an electronic scoreboard, a public address system and press box as well as a spectacular view of downtown Chicago and its beautiful skyline.
Flames Field is part of a $9 million complex which includes baseball and softball stadiums as well as tennis courts for the back-to-back-to-back MCC champion women's tennis team and the men's squad. The athletics complex also features four intramural multi-purpose fields, four sand volleyball courts and a lighted 7/8-mile jogging path around the complex.
