    CHICAGO – In a 43-team field that spans the Midwest Region, the UIC volleyball team ranks ninth overall. As a top-10 team, the Flames are eligible for AVCA All-Region and All-America considerations. The honor comes after the RKPI rankings release on Nov. 12.

    UIC is one of three Horizon League members to earn the top-10 Midwest Region honor. Cleveland State checked in third, while Valparaiso is sixth. The three Horizon League teams in the top-10 is the second-most teams from one conference to appear on the list. Conference USA leads with four teams from its conference.

    The nomination process for AVCA All-Region and All-America accolades begins Nov. 19 and concludes Nov. 26.
