    CHICAGO – The UIC volleyball team (17-12/9-4 Horizon League) faces Loyola (6-10/8-5 Horizon) Saturday inside the Flames Athletic Center at 2:00 p.m. (CT). The Flames will honor their five seniors, Nicole Allgood, Janise Dismuke, Jacqueline Lang, Kelsey Safranek and Aubrey Sniegowski.

    SCOUTING THE FLAMES UIC (17-12/9-4 Horizon League) … the Flames are on a three-match winning streak, defeating Youngstown State (3-0), Milwaukee (3-1) and Green Bay (3-1) … Kelsey Safranek leads the team with 342 kills on the season, trailed closely by Aubrey Sniegowski with 310 (.261) … Janise Dismuke exceeds the team defensively with 116 blocks, followed by Sara Sternard at 78 … Maggie Strus has earned 536 digs … MaryKate Imrie has dished out 1,204 assists.

    SCOUTING THE RAMBLERS Loyola (16-10/8-5 Horizon League) … the Ramblers have lost three of their last four matches … dropping to Youngstown State (3-2), Cleveland State (3-1), Green Bay (3-0) and then defeating Milwaukee (3-1) … Anna Eytchison dominates the squad in kills with 423, followed by Laura Purcell with 255 (.239) … Brittany Brown has dished out 1,015 assists … Stefanie Kinane leads the team in digs with 507.

    ALL-TIME SERIES RECORD VERSUS LOYOLA Overall 29-37 Last Meeting October 12, 2012, Won, 3-1

    FLAMES AND RAMBLERS IN 2012 UIC faced Loyola October 12 inside the Gentile Arena … the Flames dropped the Ramblers, 3-1 (25-22, 25-13, 16-25, 25-13) … Safranek led the team in kills with 15 and had seven digs … Sniegowski chipped in with 10 kills and five digs … Imrie posted 48 assists and earned nine digs.

    HORIZON LEAGUE STANDINGS Cleveland State is currently in first place with a record of 12-1 … trailing the Vikings is UIC at 9-4 … Valparaiso falls to third with a record of 8-4 and Loyola is fourth at 8-5 … Green Bay holds its spot in fifth place at 5-7 … followed by Youngstown State and Milwaukee at sixth and seventh with records of 5-8 and 3-9… Wright State stands last with a record of 0-12.

    MaryKate Imrie Imrie averages 11.0 assists per set, the highest in the league … she is currently tied for first in the Horizon League in double-doubles alongside Julie Kolinske of Milwaukee with 17 … Imrie also ties for first in the league for most assists in a single match with 61, which she collected against Milwaukee on October 6.

    THE Nicole Allgood FILE: A Crestwood, Ky., native has compiled 462 kills to date … she has 647 digs … collected 122 total blocks … during her freshman season, she ranked second on the team in service aces with 30 … she posted a season-high 17 kills versus UT Martin on Sept. 5, 2009 … she also collected seven double-doubles in her rookie season … as a sophomore, she tied her career-high four aces in a single match against Western Illinois on Nov. 8, 2010 … during her junior campaign she collected 242 kills and 203 digs … posted a career-high 19 kills against Butler on Sept. 30, 2011 that still stands … to date during her final season with the Flames, she has 107 kills and 243 digs … she collected a career-high six blocks against Loyola on Oct. 12 of this season.

    THE Janise Dismuke FILE: Janise Dismuke, from Peoria, Ill., has so far compiled a hitting percentage of .297, which is the top-ranked hitting percentage in the all-time record book ... she collected a career-high 18 kills on two occasions, most recently, against Milwaukee on Oct. 6, 2012 … on Oct. 3 against Eastern Illinois she hit at .812 for a career-high hitting percentage … Dismuke has earned two Horizon League Player of the Week accolades … as a sophomore in 2010, Dismuke led the Horizon League in hitting percentage at .311 … she posted a season-high nine blocks against Loyola on Oct. 22, 2010, while hitting at .600 … she earned Best Western Invitational Most Valuable Player honors at North Florida … as a junior, she began the season being named the CEFCU Classic Most Valuable Player while competing in hometown of Peoria at Bradley … she ranked second on the team with 246 kills and led the Flames in solo blocks with 21 and block assists with 71 … during the 2012 campaign, Dismuke has bested her play in each area of competition with 281 kills, a .338 hitting percentage, 29 digs and 116 total blocks.

    THE Jacqueline Lang FILE: Jaqueline Lang, a Chicago, Ill., native has stepped in as a consistent server for the Flames … she has collected 82 digs during her career as a Flame … during the 2012 season, she has 46 to date … she had two service aces on September 16, 2011.

    THE Kelsey Safranek FILE: A native of Downers Grove, Ill., has compiled 1,500 kills in her four seasons, which ranks as the fourth-most in program history … during her freshman campaign in 2009, she was named to the Horizon League all-Newcomer team … she ranked second on the team in kills with 314 … had a season-high 18 kills against Loyola on Nov. 14, 2009 … hit at a career-high .733 against DePaul on Oct. 27, 2009 … as a sophomore, she ranked third in the Horizon League with 3.35 kills per set … earned all-Horizon League accolades … was also named to the UIC Invitational and Best Western Invitational all-tournament teams … posted a season-high 24 kills against Loyola on Oct. 22, 2010 and season-high 18 digs in back-to-back matches against Cleveland State and Youngstown State on Oct. 15 and 16, 2010 … received all-Horizon League honors as a junior … named UIC’s Most Valuable Player … earned Horizon League “Offensive Player of the Week” on Sept. 12 … posted a career-high 33 kills against Youngstown State on Nov. 5, 2011 … in 2012, Safranek earned a career-high 19 digs against Louisiana Lafayette on Sept. 15, 2012.

    THE Aubrey Sniegowski FILE: A Lemont, Ill., native … to date, Sniegowski has 657 career kills (.237) … she has collected 141 … during her freshman campaign, she posted a season-high 18 kills against Youngstown State on Oct. 16, 2010 … she had 219 total kills … during the 2011 season, she captured a career-high hitting percentage at .706 against Green Bay on Oct. 21, 2011 … Sniegowski’s final season with the Flames has proved to be an impressive one … she has 310 kills at .261 … she has earned 70 total blocks … she posted a career-high 19 kills and career-high seven blocks assists on Oct. 6, 2012 against Milwaukee.

    LAST TIME OUT The Flames faced Milwaukee Friday and Green Bay Saturday in Wisconsin, and dropped both the Panthers (20-25, 25-20, 28-26, 25-17) and Phoenix (12-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-21) … Safranek led the way by knocking down a combined 31 kills and 30 digs … Allgood followed with 19 kills and 36 digs … Sniegowski chipped in with 26 kills and three digs … Imrie posted her third and fourth consecutive double-double matches.

    UP NEXT The Flames will enter the Horizon League Tournament Thursday, November 15 … the opponent and time of play is to be determined.
