UIC Volleyball Game Notes in PDF Format

Chicago, Ill. - UIC takes its final regular-season road trip to Butler and Wright State this weekend. The Flames are set to face the Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 2 at 6:00 p.m. CST, followed by a 3:00 p.m. matchup against the Raiders on Saturday, Nov. 3.

UIC (14-12, 6-7) handed Butler a 3-2 loss at the Flames Athletic Center on Oct. 3. The Flames are looking to split after falling to Wright State at home in four games on Oct. 2. Butler leads the series, 21-15, while the Flames and Raiders are tied at 19-19.

The Flames enter this weekend's play with three straight wins under their belt. UIC downed Bradley on the road, followed by two home victories over Youngstown State and Cleveland State in five games each.

After totaling 12 kills, four service aces, 44 digs, 11 blocks and 147 assists in three matches, sophomore setter Casie Sullivan was named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week.

Butler (11-13, 4-8) is paced by Porshia Allen with 3.73 kills per game in conference contests. Nina Inac guides the squad defensively with 3.98 digs per game.

Wright State (11-14, 7-5) is coming off three straight wins over Valpo, Cincinnati and Butler. Alisha Kimbro leads the charge for the Raiders in league matches with 4.11 kills per game.

The Flames return home to face Valpo and Western Illinois in their final regular-season home contests next week before heading to Milwaukee for the 2007 Horizon League Tournament on Nov. 11-15.
