Volleyball Faces Crosstown Rival Loyola On Friday Night

UIC Volleyball Game Notes in PDF Format Chicago, Ill. - After two weeks on the road, UIC volleyball returns to Chicago to face crosstown foe Loyola at the Gentile Center in Rogers Park on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. CST. The Flames enter the matchup 11-11 overall and 4-6 in Horizon League action, while Loyola owns a 6-16 record and are 2-8 in conference matches. Despite dropping the Ramblers in three of the last four contests, Loyola leads the series, 33-24. UIC is looking to rebound after falling to Milwaukee on Oct. 13 on the road. Sophomore Casie Sullivan returned to the court against the Panthers after suffering a foot injury six weeks ago. Sullivan stepped in at setter and totaled 27 helpers, while also totaling 11 digs and four blocks. Loyola is coming off a five-game victory over Bradley on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The Ramblers were paced by Dana VanDiggelen with 21 kills. Alyse Serritella tabbed a school record with 36 digs. Melissa Craig powered Loyola at the net with eight blocks.
