Sept. 29, 2008

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday night as the Flames head to Wisconsin for a Horizon League matchup against Green Bay.

The first serve at the Kress Center is set for 7 p.m. The Flames swept Green Bay in 2007.

UIC (5-8, 1-2) fell to Loyola at home in a heartbreaker on Friday night. Down two sets, the Flames battled back to force the match into a fifth and final set. UIC was just one point shy of a match victory before the Ramblers recorded three straight to win the fifth set in extra points.

Katerina Hanackova averages a team-best 2.42 kills per set in Horizon League contests this season. Epiphany Davis has totaled 11 blocks, including two solo blocks in 12 league sets.

Green Bay, sharing the same record as the Flames, is coming off a five-set loss to Butler on Sept. 27.

Holly Visser paces Green Bay's offense with 3.19 kills per set in 13 matches. Abby Bersgma leads Green Bay at the net with 45 total blocks.

UIC hosts Wright State on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. The team then steps out of league play on Sunday for a 2 p.m. matchup against Quinnipiac at the Flames Athletic Center.
