UIC Squares Off Against Loyola On Friday

UIC vs. Loyola Game Notes in PDF Format Chicago, Ill. - UIC volleyball squares off against crosstown rival Loyola on Friday night. The matchup is set to kick off at 7:00 p.m. at the Flames Athletic Center. UIC enters the contest 8-7 overall and 1-2 in Horizon League action, while Loyola owns a 4-10 overall record and a 1-2 mark in conference play. Despite beating the Ramblers two out of three times last season, Loyola leads the series, 33-23. Sophomore Katerina Hanackova leads the Flames with 198 kills and ranks second on the team with 172 digs. Freshman Taylor Szatkowski averages a team-best 3.75 digs per game, while sophomore Lana Lobdell owns a team-high 20 service aces and a .316 offensive clip. Lobdell and junior Christin Hunt are tied at the net with 42 blocks each. Loyola is paced by Sarah Singer with 158 kills. Alyse Serritella has totaled a team-high 208 digs. Mallory Curran owns a team-best 44 blocks and a .256 attack percentage. The Flames host Wright State on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a matchup against Butler on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Flames Athletic Center.
