Chicago, Ill. - The UIC volleyball team steps out of Horizon League play on Tuesday night to face Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant at 6 p.m. CST.

The Flames enter the match with a 4-7 overall record, while the Chippewas own a 6-5 mark.

UIC split in its opening weekend of league action on the road against Youngstown State and Cleveland State. The Flames downed the Penguins in three sets with a season-best .293 attack percentage.

Three players recorded double-doubles against YSU with Katerina Hanackova registering 17 kills and 19 digs. Katarina Nedeljkovic picked up her first double-double of 2008 with a season-best 14 kills and 14 digs.

Central Michigan is looking to end a four-match losing streak that started on Sept. 12 against IUPUI.

Averaging 3.18 kills per game, CMU's Whitney Evers leads the squad's offense. Kaitlyn Schultz dominates at the net for the Chippewas with 0.77 blocks per set.

UIC returns to the Flames Athletic Center on Friday, Sept. 26 for a crosstown matchup against Loyola at 7 p.m.
