Volleyball Faces Valparaiso In First Horizon League Road Match

UIC Volleyball Game Notes in PDF Format Chicago, Ill. - UIC volleyball heads to Indiana to face Valparaiso in its first Horizon League road match of the season on Friday, Sept. 21 at 7:00 p.m. The Flames enter the contest 8-5 overall and 1-1 in conference action. Valpo leads the series, 22-12. This marks the first meeting as members of the same conference. UIC is coming off an impressive comeback against Green Bay on Sept. 18. The Flames sparked a run late in game five to down the Phoenix, 3-2 at the Flames Athletic Center. Sophomore Katerina Hanackova picked up her seventh double-double of the season with 17 kills and 22 digs. Sophomore Lana Lobdell notched a career-high 19 kills and posted a .333 attack percentage in the win. Freshman Epiphany Davis tabbed a season-high .385 offensive clip with 12 kills. Valparaiso (8-5) squares off against UIC in its first Horizon League match of the season. The Crusaders are coming off a disappointing five-game loss to Bowling Green on Sept.15. On the season, Allison Sears leads the Crusaders with 154 kills, 16 service aces and 41 blocks in 37 games. Brittany Mailcoat owns a team-best 208 digs.
