CHICAGO - UIC Volleyball class of 2010 signee MaryKate Imrie was named an All-American by PrepVolleyball.com earlier this year.

The Orland Park native was one of 150 athletes honored nationally, with only seven Illinois representatives selected for the yearly accolade.

Imrie, a first-team All-State selection by both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times, guided Sandburg to three consecutive regional championships and a pair of conference crowns to close out her high school campaign. She averaged over 18 assists and six digs per match as a senior.
