    Dayton, Ohio - University of Illinois at Chicago freshman right side hitter Katarina Nedeljkovic tallied a career and team-season best 22 kills to propel the visiting Flames to the 31-33, 30-23, 31-29, 30-24 Horizon League victory over Wright State at C.J. McLin Gymnasium on Friday night.

    Nedeljkovic finished with 12 digs for her sixth double-double of the season and had a hitting percentage of .380 (22 kills, 3 errors, 50 attacks).

    "Kat had a great match," UIC Head Coach Nancy Mueller said. "It was a solid all-around effort on both offense and defense.

    "She put balls away in very crucial points during the match."

    The Flames also received solid performances from seniors Kristi Herrington (12 kills, 5 blocks), Jordan Studzinski (12 kills, 22 digs) and sophomore Ambria Springer (10 kills).

    With the victory, UIC improves to 10-19 on the season and 6-7 in Horizon League action, while the host Raiders drop to 4-24 on the campaign and 2-11 in conference play.

    Wright State's Sarah Poling posted a match-high, 24 kills and 12 digs, while McKenzie Tiffin (16 kills, 18 digs) and Nicole Scheltema (59 assists, 17 digs) also totaled double-doubles on the evening for the Raiders. Tara Geegan chipped in 10 kills in defeat for Wright State.

    Wright State's achilles heel for the night was their serving, as the Raiders found the net 15 times on the evening.

    UIC will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will square off with the Butler Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. (CST).
