Volleyball Sweeps Youngstown State, 30-22, 30-24, 30-28|

Chicago, Ill. - Junior middle hitter Kristi Herrington recorded a team-high 10 kills and had a hitting percentage of .400 (10 kills, 2 errors, 20 attacks) to help push the University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team to the 30-22, 30-24, 30-28 Horizon League sweep over Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon at the Flames Athletic Center.
Sophomore middle hitter Tisha Graf also turned in an impressive performance with six kills and a hitting percentage of .353 (6 kills, 0 errors, 17 attacks) for the Flames. Senior outside hitter Teaha Shepperd added a match-high 14 digs and three service aces for UIC.
With the victory, UIC improves to 10-17 overall and 2-9 in Horizon League play, while the Penguins fall to 8-15 on the campaign and 1-10 in league action.
Youngstown State's Colleen Royer notched a double-double with a match high 15 kills and 11 digs, while teammates Melanie Pounders and Annie Buschur each contributed nine kills for the Penguins.
UIC will be back in action on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. as they will host IUPUI for a non-conference showdown at the Flames Athletic Center.
