Wright State Upends Volleyball, 30-23, 30-25, 20-30, 30-25

Dayton, Ohio - Despite having three players record double-digit kills, the University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team remains winless in Horizon League play, as Wright State claimed the 30-23, 30-25, 20-30, 30-25 conference victory over the visiting Flames at C.J. McLin Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Senior outside hitter Teaha Shepperd had a double-double of 15 kills and 19 digs for UIC, while teammate Kristi Herrington chipped in 15 kills and eight blocks on the afternoon. Junior middle hitter Megan Hoffman turned in an impressive hitting performance of .571 (13 kills, 1 error, 21 attacks) while also posting eight blocks.
With the victory, Wright State improves to 13-10 overall and 4-5 in Horizon League play, while the Flames fall to 8-17 on the campaign and 0-9 in league action.
"Wright State played solid volleyball," UIC Head Coach Don August said. "We just didn't execute well enough to beat them."
Wright State received double-doubles from outside hitters Tricia Naseman (16 kills, 13 digs), McKenzie Tiffin (15 kills, 15 digs) and Kelly Skaro (10 kills, 15 digs).
UIC will be back in action on October 31st, as they will host Cleveland State at 7:00 p.m. in the Flames Athletic Center.
