Chicago, Ill. - UIC volleyball (11-12, 4-7) fell to crosstown foe Loyola (7-16, 3-8) in four games (23-30, 36-34, 24-30, 25-30) on Friday night in Rogers Park. Senior Amanda Kenny led the Flames with 13 kills, while sophomore Casie Sullivan owned a team-high 15 digs.

Junior Christin Hunt posted a team-best .318 attack percentage and freshman Epiphany Davis and sophomore Lana Lobdell notched eight blocks each.

Loyola's Melissa Craig and Keily Zins totaled 16 kills apiece, while Mindy Rees tabbed a team-high 18 digs.

Game one remained close until Loyola sparked a 6-2 run late in the frame (24-18). The Ramblers posted a .311 attack percentage with 20 kills to take an early 1-0 lead in the match.

Tied at 21-21, Loyola notched four straight points to take a 25-21 advantage. UIC rallied late in game two, eventually tying up the match at 1-1 in extra points (36-34). The Flames held the Ramblers to a .047 attack percentage and forced the squad to commit 18 errors.

Loyola held the Flames to a zero attack percentage in game three. The Ramblers extended a small lead at the midpoint to grab a 2-1 lead (30-23).

Loyola led by three points (18-15) in game four, but UIC posted a 3-1 run to knot it at 19-19. The Ramblers responded with four points, eventually capturing the match victory (30-25).

UIC faces Bradley on Monday, Oct. 22 in its final of six straight road matches. The contest is set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
