    Chicago, Ill. - UW-Milwaukee's Sarah Potts and Tari Boutin each recorded 12 kills apiece to help the visiting Panthers to the 31-29, 30-27, 30-22 Horizon League sweep over the University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team at the Flames Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.

    With the victory, UW-Milwaukee improves to 11-10 overall and 6-1 in Horizon League action, while UIC falls to 15-10 on the campaign and 3-4 in league action.

    For the second straight match, blocking proved to be the difference in the match as UW-Milwaukee out-blocked the host Flames, 17-7. Larissa Cattanach (8 kills) recorded a game-high eight blocks (3 solo, 5 assists) for the Panthers.

    Following the see-saw battle in game one, UIC managed to hit only .013 over the final two games to help UW-Milwaukee secure the victory.

    Sophomore middle hitter Kristi Herrington led UIC with nine kills, while freshman outside hitter Catherine Roy made the most of her first collegiate start with eight kills and 10 digs on the afternoon.

    UIC will be back in action on Tuesday, as they will travel to Indiana to take on host IUPUI at 6:00 p.m. (CST).
