    Chicago, Ill. - UW-Green Bay's Janelle Tomlinson recorded a double-double of 23 kills and 15 digs to lead the Phoenix to the 25-30, 31-29, 30-26, 30-14 Horizon League victory over the University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team at the Flames Athletic Center on Friday night.

    With the victory, UW-Green Bay improves to 10-13 overall and 3-3 in Horizon League action, while UIC falls to 15-9 on the campaign and 3-3 in league action.

    There is now a four-way tie for third-place in the league as UIC, UW-Green Bay, Wright State and Butler each have a conference record of 3-3.

    UW-Green Bay also received a solid performance from Jessie Theys. Theys had 10 kills and a game-high seven total blocks (2 solo, 5 assists).

    Blocking proved to be a huge difference in the game as the Phoenix out-blocked UIC, 16 to four on the evening.

    Junior outside hitter Teaha Shepperd recorded a double-double of 13 kills and 17 digs to lead the Flames, while sophomore middle hitter Kristi Herrington pounded home 13 kills on the evening.

    Jordan Studzinski (13 digs), Catherine Roy (12 digs) and Lara Clarkson (9 kills, 10 digs) each recorded double-digit digs for UIC.

    UIC will be back in action on Saturday, as they will host UW-Milwaukee at 4:00 p.m. in the Flames Athletic Center.
