Loyola's Jorie Miguel and Courtney Ashley each notched 14 kills apiece for the Ramblers, while Nichol Amberg posted a double-double of 13 kills and 12 digs.
"Loyola outplayed us defensively," UIC Head Coach Don August said. "I thought we attacked the ball decently, but Loyola was able to keep the ball off of the floor."
Miguel was also solid from behind the service line, recording three aces as the Ramblers finished the evening with eight overall.
"Loyola's serve was tough," August said. "It really kept us from running our offense and we were really scrambling."
Senior outside hitter Teaha Shepperd led UIC with 19 kills on the evening.
UIC will be back in action on October 24th, as they will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to square off with Butler at 7:00 p.m.
