Chicago, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team gave the visiting Bradley Braves all they could handle in their first two games on Tuesday night, only to fall short each time.
Bradley, however, controlled game three from the outset and rolled to the 30-27, 30-28, 30-15 non-conference victory over UIC at the Flames Athletic Center.
Bradley middle hitter Jenna Passman led the way for the Braves with 14 kills and finished the game with a hitting percentage of .500 (14 kills, 2 errors, 24 attacks). Junior outside hitter Ann Franklin added 13 kills for the Braves.
With the victory, Bradley improves to 14-5 on the season, while UIC falls to 15-8 on the campaign.
Teaha Shepperd provided the lone highlight for UIC as the junior outside hitter recorded a double-double of 10 kills and 15 digs. Senior Lara Clarkson also provided a solid performance with eight kills and 12 digs.
UIC will be back in action on Friday evening, as they will square off with Horizon League rival, UW-Green Bay, at 7:00 p.m. in the Flames Athletic Center.
