Chicago, Ill. - In an effort to shake up his squad, University of Illinois at Chicago head volleyball coach Don August emptied his bench when his Flames dropped the first two games of their Horizon League match against UW-Milwaukee.

UIC responded with a victory in Game Three, but it wasn't enough, as the Panthers claimed the fourth and final game to earn the 30-28, 30-16, 26-30, 30-21 victory at the Flames Athletic Center on Friday night.

With the victory, UW-Milwaukee improves to 15-3 overall and 5-0 in Horizon League play, while UIC drops its fifth-straight match to fall to 7-13 on the campaign and 0-5 in league action.

Senior outside hitter Teaha Shepperd led UIC with 19 kills and 24 digs, while teammates Meghan Keck (25 assists, 11 digs) and Ambria Springer (10 kills) each turned in solid efforts for the Flames.

UIC was done in by errors as the Flames committed 33 miscues to UWM's 19, for a hitting percentage of .122.

UW-Milwaukee's Karen Fruit (18 digs) and Larissa Cattanach paced the Panthers' offensive attack with 16 kills apiece.

UIC will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will host UW-Green Bay at 4:00 p.m. at the Flames Athletic Center.
