    Milwaukee, Wis. - UW-Milwaukee continued its dominance over the University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team, as the Panthers claimed their 16th straight victory over the Flames with a 30-23, 30-22, 30-17, Horizon League victory at the Klotsche Center on Friday night.

    UWM's Karen Fruit led the Panthers with 22 kills, while teammate Leann Felsing chipped in 14 kills in the victory. The duo controlled the match from the outset as they combined to hit for a .516 hitting percentage on the evening (36 kills, 4 errors, 62 attacks).

    For the match, UW-Milwaukee finished with a hitting percentage of .339 (53 kills, 13 errors, 118 attacks), while the Flames hit at .064 (33 kills, 26 errors, 109 attacks).

    With the victory, UWM improves to 6-6 overall and 2-0 in Horizon League play, while the Flames fall to 5-11 on the campaign and 1-2 in conference action.

    Sophomore Ambria Springer led UIC with eight kills, while teammates Dawn Strahanoski and Kristi Herrington each posted seven kills on the evening.

    UIC will continue its Wisconsin road swing on Saturday evening, as they will travel to Green Bay, to take on the UW-Green Bay Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. in the Phoenix Sports Center.
