    CLEVELAND, Ohio -The UIC volleyball team (8-10/2-3 Horizon League) fell to Cleveland State, 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-14) Saturday inside the Woodling Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio.

    Three members of the UIC squad logged double-digit digs in the match. Sophomore Maggie Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) led the squad with 15, followed by Justine Garcia (Chicago, Ill./Brooks) and MaryKate Imrie(Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) with 12 and 10, respectively.

    The Flames battled the Vikings through the first set as the teams tied the score at 11-11, before UIC went on a five-point run, which was included a kill by senior Kelsey Safranek (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) and back-to-back service aces by senior Nicole Allgood(Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham).

    UIC then dropped the second and third sets 25-16 and 25-14 to conclude the match.

    The Flames return to action against Eastern Illinois Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (CT) inside the Flames Athletic Center.
