Kalamazoo, Mich. - UIC fell to Western Michigan, 3-0, on Tuesday night in Kalamazoo, Mich. Junior Christin Hunt paced the Flames with seven kills and a .235 attack percentage.

Freshman Epiphany Davis led the Flames with a .273 offensive clip. Sophomore Lana Lobdell and freshman Dana Van Syckle each tabbed a team-best two blocks. Katerina Hanackova, Amanda Kenny and Taylor Szatkowski each totaled 10 digs against the Broncos.

WMU's Katie Eberling notched a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. Caitlin Strimel owned a team-high 27 digs and Jamie Gotham led the squad at the net with four blocks. Ashley Vogel totaled 16 kills and a team-best .577 attack percentage.

Western Michigan posted a .517 offensive clip in game one with 17 kills and only two errors for an early 1-0 advantage (30-7).

Knotted a 9-9 in game two, the Broncos sparked an 8-3 run (17-2). The Flames got within two points late in the frame (21-19), but WMU posted a second run to pick up the 30-24 victory.

The Broncos totaled 23 kills and a .429 attack percentage in game three to help capture the sweep (30-17).

UIC welcomes Loyola on Friday, Sept. 28 in a crosstown matchup at the Flames Athletic Center at 7:00 p.m.
