Loyola Sweeps Volleyball, 30-20, 30-24, 30-21|

Chicago, Ill. - Loyola setter Lauren Holbrook notched a double-double of 36 assists and 10 digs, including seven kills for a hitting percentage of .700 to help the host Ramblers breeze to the 30-20, 30-24, 30-21 victory over the University of Illinois at Chicago volleyball team in the LaSalle Bank Chicago Challenge at Loyola's Gentile Center on Saturday afternoon.
Loyola's Nichol Amberg tallied a match-high, 15 kills to go with eight digs, while teammate Courtney Ashley posted a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs.
With the victory, Loyola improves to 3-3 overall, while the Flames fall to 3-5 on the campaign.
UIC was done in by hitting errors on the afternoon as they finished with a hitting percentage of .036 (25 kills, 21 errors, 110 attacks). The highest hitting percentage that the Flames had in a game was .053 in the final contest.
In contrast, Loyola finished with a .265 hitting percentage (57 kills, 22 errors, 132 attacks) and their lowest game output was .200 in game two.
UIC sophomore middle hitter Ambria Springer led the Flames with 11 kills.
UIC will be back in action at 5:00 p.m. to take on Northwestern for their final match of the LaSalle Bank Chicago Challenge.
