    UIC Holds Inaugural `Night to Ignite'

    Student-athlete awards ceremony took place Thursday night at the UIC Forum

    2005: Appeared in 98 games for the Flames and finished with a career-best 257 digs...completed her first full season without injury...picked up a career-high 21 service aces on the season...garnered a career-high one solo block against Butler on Nov. 5...picked up a career-high three assists twice, most recently in a five-game win over Youngstown State on Nov. 12...posted a season-high 21 digs in a five-game victory versus Wright State on Oct. 8...recorded 13 double figure dig contests...helped the Flames to a 3-2 win over Denver on Sept. 3 with ten digs...posted a career-high 21 assists in 2005.

    2004: Returned to the court after a two-year layoff against Youngstown State on September 24th...finished the season with 10 digs and two service aces in nine games...had four digs and one service ace against the Penguins...picked up a service ace against IUPUI on October 5th...had a dig against Loyola on October 8th...appeared in one game against UW-Milwaukee on October 30th...totaled three digs against Western Illinois on November 2nd.

    2003: Missed the entire season due to a left leg injury and will use season as a medical redshirt.

    2002: Missed a majority of the season with a torn left meniscus suffered against Loyola on September 27th...played primarily at libero during the campaign...recorded a season-high 22 digs in a five-game victory against Harvard on September 14th...also picked up double-digit dig performances against Eastern Illinois (14 digs), Ohio State (13 digs) and Tulane (11 digs)...recorded six kills as an outside hitter against Birmingham-Southern on August 31st.

    Prep/Personal: Helped Queen of Peace to back-to-back sectional titles as a junior and a senior...led the Pride to a fourth-place finish at the highly prestigious Nike Challenge as a senior...served as captain as a junior and a senior...two-time selection to the GCAC All-Conference team...garnered GCAC All-Academic honors as a junior...led the Pride in kills as a junior...captured honorable mention honors for the Daily Southtown and the Sun Times as a senior...attended Junior Nationals as a freshman, sophomore and junior...competed for the Celtic Force as a junior and a senior...helped Queen of Peace defeat two nationally ranked teams at the Nike Challenge with a total of 36 kills, 41 digs and 12 aces...daughter of John and Kathy Popp...born on April 11, 1984...major is undecided.
