Nov. 14, 2002

Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago women's cross country/track and field coach Jim Knoedel announced that he has signed long distance runner Andrea Dennison (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale South) to a National Letter of Intent.

Dennison figures to make an immediate impact upon the Flames' cross country team, who finished third in the Horizon League Cross Country championships, along with the distance events on the track and field team.

"Andrea should eventually be in the top five at the Horizon League cross country championships," Knoedel said. "She will also help us in the 5K events in track.

"Andrea will be the first step in our drive for a conference title," Knoedel continued. "We are looking forward to having her run at UIC."
