Ehrhardt Named Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month|

CHICAGO - Junior cross country standout, Tess Ehrhardt has been honored with the Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month award for October.
At the 2013 Horizon League Cross Country Championship, Ehrhardt led her team to a second-place finish as she crossed the finish line in first-place in the 5K race, with a time of 17:47.63. Ehrhardt was named Horizon League Women’s Athlete of the Year and made the All-League First Team.
Ehrhardt holds a 3.45 GPA as Biology major, and has secured a spot on the 2012-2013 Horizon League Honor Roll. She was also named to the Horizon League Winter Academic All-League team, in 2012.
In addition, she was named with the Horizon League Runner of the Week title for three-consecutive weeks and was titled the Illinois National Guard Student-Athlete of the Week two times throughout the course of the season.
In order to be eligible for this title, students need a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours and must play an important role on his or her team.
The men’s and women’s cross country teams return to action Friday Nov. 15 to compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional.
