Ehrhardt Claims Second Straight HL Runner of the Week Award

CHICAGO – UIC cross country standout Tess Ehrhardt has been named the Horizon League Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. The junior earns her second consecutive honor as she turned in a stellar performance at the star-studded Notre Dame Invitational this past Friday.
Ehrhardt steered the women’s team in the 5K race, placing eighth among 212 runners with a time of 17:47.9. The Geneva, Ill., native has placed within the top-10 in all three of her races so far this season.
“Tess ran against some of the best runners in the Midwest and produced a great result,” said head coach Jim Knoedel. “I could not be more excited about her performance.”
The Flames return to action Saturday Oct. 12 for the UW-Parkside Lucian Rosa Invitational set to start at 10:00 a.m. CT.
