Chicago, Ill. - The UIC cross country team heads to Indiana for the 53rd running of the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3.

The meet will be held at the nine-hole Notre Dame Gold Course.

The Gold Division women's and men's races are set to start at 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. CST, respectively. The Blue Division women's and men's races kick off at 4:15 p.m. and 5 p.m.

A total of 60 schools will compete at the Invitational, including seven ranked teams on the men's side and 12 in the women's pool.

Currently 19 of the 60 teams are ranked in the top 30 of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Ranked teams in the men's division include No. 8 Michigan, No. 10 Georgetown and No. 15 New Mexico.

Second-ranked Florida State, No. 7 Princeton and eighth-ranked Michigan State are the top teams competing on the women's side.

The Notre Dame Invitational is one of the oldest and largest intercollegiate cross country meets in the nation. The men will run a 5-mile course, while the women will compete in a 5K.

UIC's next meet is the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 17.
