Chicago, Ill. - The UIC cross country team is back in action this weekend at the Illinois Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill on Friday, Sept. 19.

The race is set for a 5 p.m. start.

The men's team is looking to continue a successful season after placing second at the DePaul Cross Country Opener on August 30.

Brian Denk led the squad with a fourth-place finish in his collegiate debut. Six UIC runners placed in the top ten at the event.

Kristen Heckert paced the women's team with an 11th-place finish in the 4K race at the DePaul Opener.

Cross Country's next stop is the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3.
