Flames go 1-5 againts six teams at dual meet invite

The UIC women’s indoor track and field team finished fifth out of seven teams at the UWM Double-Dual Invitational Friday in Milwaukee, Wisc. The Flames went 1-5 against the seven team field, finishing ahead of Bradley.

The Flames were led by Monieka Thompson, who finished second out of 15 runners in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:18.44. Farah Dioro also had a solid performance for UIC, placing ninth out of 20 sprinters with a time of :27.83 in the 200-meter dash.
