Peoria, Ill. - Two freshman paced the UIC men's and women's cross country teams on Friday afternoon at the Bradley Classic in Peoria, Ill.

Sam Kehoe finished a team-best sixth place. Kehoe helped guide the men's squad to a fourth-place finish out of 12 teams. Alex Sutphen placed 14th with a course time of 25:40 in the 8K event.

Roger Pinon finished 29th (26:06), followed by Brian Denk (34th), Tyler Hinckley (46th) and Mark Riggs (48th).

Toni Ogundare paced the women's team for the second straight meet, placing 20th with a 22:22 6K race time. Kristen Heckert finished 58th (23:11), while Danyelle Somerfield rounded out the top 65 (23:20).

The women's squad placed 13th out of 15 teams.

UIC heads to Green Bay for the Horizon League Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1.
