    Parkside, Wis.- The UIC women's cross country team ran to a second place team finish on Saturday morning, highlighting the Flames' day at the UW-Parkside Invitational.

    With all five scoring runners placing in the top-50, UIC totaled 114 points, which was second-best in the 24-team field. Indiana Wesleyan won the invitational.

    Senior Jenni Goebel paved the way for the Flames with a fourth-place finish, completing the 5K course in 18:22. She was followed by Lizet Diaz (19:16/21st), Susie Martinez (19:26/28th), Lisa Petty (19:41/36th) and Rachel Covert (19:40/42nd).

    The men's tea, meanwhile, competed with a shortened squad and were paced by Mikhail Davidyan. Davidyan finished in 20th place with an 8K time of 26:53. Jim Sulzberger was the men's teams next best finisher, placing 41st in 27:26.
