Normal, Ill. - The UIC men's cross country team marked a 10th-place finish out of 26 teams at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships in Normal, Ill. on Friday night.

Alex Sutphen finished 38th overall with a course time of 26:17 in the 8K race. Sam Kehoe followed with a time of 26:46 (63rd).

The women's squad also recorded an impressive performance with an 11th-place finish out of 25 teams.

Toni Ogundare finished with a team-best 19:10 course time in the 5K event. Danyelle Somerfield came in 41st with a 19:37 mark.

Illinois captured the overall title in both races.

UIC's next event is the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3.
