Indianapolis, Ind. - University of Illinois at Chicago junior sprinter Jessica Fouche picked up her second-consecutive conference title in the 400-meter dash to lead the Flames to a fourth-place finish at the 2005 Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championship at IUPUI's Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Friday evening.

Fouche torched her competition, crossing the finish line in 55.95, nearly a second and a half in front of Youngstown State's Emily Wollett's second-place finish of 57.33. She will now advance to the 2005 NCAA Regionals at Bloomington, Ind., on May 27th-28th.

Youngstown State won the overall title with 180 points, followed by UW-Milwaukee (151), Detroit (151), UIC (53), Loyola (49), Butler (46) and Wright State (21).

Senior distance specialist Jenni Goebel added a second-place finish in the 5,000-meter run (17:23.01), to follow up her win in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday evening.

Freshman jump specialist Idara Essien took home a third-place mark in the triple jump with a leap of 11.13 meters, while the Flames' 4x100 relay squad placed third with a time of 48.43
