    Normal, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago senior distance specialist Jenni Goebel turned in a second-place finish of 17:43 in the 5,000-meter run for the women's track and field squad at the Redbird Invite, hosted by Illinois State, on Saturday afternoon.

    The Flames' 4x100 relay squad of Tamika Johnson, Jessica Cwiak, Rowsha LaBranche and Jasmine Sutton also earned a second-place finish with a time of 49.0.

    Sophomores Rachel Covert and Lisa Petty each rounded out the top-five finishers for the Flames in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Covert placed fourth with a time of 12:03.84, followed by Petty's fifth-place mark of 12:07.

    UIC will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to participate in the Butler Open at 1:00 p.m. (CST).
