West Lafayette, Ind. - Junior Teaha Shepperd turned in an impressive effort for the University of Illinois at Chicago women's track and field team as she placed fourth overall in the javelin with a heave of 122'7" at the Boilermaker Invitational, hosted by Purdue, on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Sara O'Mara also broke her own record in the hammer throw with a toss of 139'0". She set the previous record of 134'3", two weeks ago at the Lee Calhoun Memorial Meet. The Hinsdale, Ill., native also turned in a 10th-place mark of 118'3" in the discus.

UIC will be back in action on Friday afternoon, as they will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to participate in the Butler Open.
