Macomb, Ill. - The UIC men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 19th Annual Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Terell Williams came away with UIC's lone title of the meet, capturing the decathlon championship with 6,477 points.

Brandon Stoffregen fared well in the 800-meter run, placing eighth with a time of 1:58.96.

Oscar Pina earned himself a Top-10 finish in the triple jump with a leap of 11.52 meters in his first outdoor appearance of the season.

Cory Renner also tallied UIC's top finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.25 seconds.

Highlighting the women's squad was a third place finish for Idara Essien in the triple jump with a leap of 11.66 meters.

Kristen McMurray placed sixth and garnered a career-best mark in the hammer throw with a distance of 45.08 meters.

Jennifer Savickas and Monique Bostert also put forth a nice effort in the hammer throw, rounding out the ninth and 10th spots with distances of 40.53 meters and 40.48 meters.

In the discus, Ashley Dawson was solid garnering a Top-10 performance with a mark of 34.83 meters.

In the track events, Kelsey Mueller recorded the Flames best finish, placing tenth in the 800-meter run (2:34.51).

UIC's next meet will take place on April 19 at the Iowa Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
