Naperville, Ill. - Sophomore Sara O'Mara recorded a personal-best, seventh-place throw of 120'2" in the discus to help the University of Illinois at Chicago women's track and field squad to a 16th-place finish at the Chicagoland Championships, hosted by North Central College on Saturday afternoon.

O'Mara also tallied a sixth-place mark in the hammer throw with a heave of 127'8".

DePaul captured the women's title with 124 points, followed by Northern Illinois (117.5), Carthage (86.5), Wheaton (70), St. Joseph's (65), North Central (44), College of DuPage (43.5), Loyola (40), University of Chicago (34), Lewis (33), North Park (32), Elmhurst (28), Chicago State (27), Northwestern (25), St. Francis (22), UIC (14.5), Benedictine (10), Trinity Christian (2) and Concordia (1).

The Flames also received a pair of sixth-place finishes from Sara Jeffers (3,000-meter steeplechase, 12:01.5) and the 400-meter relay (51.72).

Tamika Johnson captured a seventh-place mark in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.60.

UIC will be back in action on Saturday, as they will travel to Macomb, Ill., to participate in the Les Calhoun Memorial, hosted by Western Illinois.
