    Raleigh, NC - University of Illinois at Chicago's 4x100 relay team of Rowsha LaBranche, Elaine Hayes, Tamika Johnson and Jessica Fouche shattered the school-record by over a second with a 19th-place mark of 48.17 at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State, on Saturday afternoon.

    The previous record of 49.54 was set last season by Johnson, Crystal Sanders, Gloria Jackson and Korinne Krych.

    Junior throwing specialist Sara O'Mara also broke her own record in the hammer throw with a toss of 145'11". O'Mara's previous best of 139'0" was set last season.

    UIC will travel to Charleston, Ill., on Saturday afternoon, as they will participate in Eastern Illinois' Big Blue Meet.
