Women's Track and Field Places 13th At Wheaton Invitational|

Wheaton, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago freshman Sarah Morrison turned in a pair of top-10 marks in the triple and long jump at the Wheaton Invitational, helping the Flames to a 13th-place finish on Saturday afternoon.
Morrison finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 31' 8 ?" and followed that performance with a 8th-place mark of 15'5 ?" in the long jump.
Marquette won the team title with 165 points, followed by Carthage (115), Wheaton (93.5), Northern Michigan (78), Chicago State (46), Beloit (44.5), Olivet Nazarene (39.5), College of DuPage (33), North Central (31.5), Lewis (29), Huntington (20.5), Carroll (15), UIC (14), UW-Parkside (8), MSOE (7), Chicago (5), Elmhurst (5), UW-Eau Claire (5), Concordia (5) and Trinity Christian (2.5).
Junior throwing specialist Meghan Connelly, who narrowly edged teammate Candace Jackson, placed fifth overall in the hammer throw with a toss of 108'7 ?". Jackson turned in a mark of 107'7" for sixth-place.
Freshman Laura Otepka placed seventh in the high jump with a leap of 4'8".
UIC will travel to Charleston, Ill., on Saturday afternoon, as they will participate in Eastern Illinois' Big Blue Meet.
