    Indianapolis, Ind. - University of Illinois at Chicago junior sprinter Jessica Fouche and sophomore Kristina Finley each picked up a first and third-place mark to lead the Flames to a second-place finish at the Jerry England Track and Field Invitational, hosted by the University of Indianapolis, on Saturday afternoon.

    Fouche won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.52 and rounded out the afternoon with a third-place mark in the 400-meter dash (58.51). Finley tied the school-record in the pole vault with a first-place finish of 2.89 meters, while placing third in the hammer throw (34.28m).

    Indianapolis captured the overall title with 278 points, followed by UIC (110), Marian College (90), Danville CC (74), Wittenberg (47), Northern Kentucky (33), Vincennes (31) and IUPUI (13).

    Freshman distance specialist Kerry Brennan added a victory in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:08.11, while classmate Idara Essien finished third in the triple jump (10.33 m).

    The 4x100 relay team rounded out the top three finishers for the Flames with a second-place mark of 49.89.

    UIC will be back in action on Saturday morning, as they will participate in the Elmhurst Invitational at 10:00 a.m. (CST).
