    Greencastle, Ind. - University of Illinois at Chicago senior distance runner Jenni Goebel turned in a pair of top-four finishes over the weekend to help the women's track and field squad to a sixth-place finish in the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Butler, at DePauw University.

    Goebel was a runner-up in the 5,000-meter run with a season-best, time of 17:32.48 and wrapped up the weekend with a fourth-place mark of 10:20.67 in the 3,000-meter run.

    Youngstown State captured the overall title with 165 points, followed by UW-Milwaukee (103), Loyola (84), Detroit (72), Butler (41), UIC (41), and Wright State (24).

    Sophomore Laura Otepka added a second-place finish in the high jump, with a season-best, leap of 1.58 meters, while classmate Rowsha LaBranche placed third overall in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 58.66.

    UIC will wrap up the indoor season on Saturday morning, as they will travel to South Bend, Ind., to participate in the Alex Wilson Invitational at 11:00 a.m. (CST).
