Charleston, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago women's track and field team traveled a little light this weekend, as only four athletes made the trip to the Eastern Illinois Indoor Track and Field Megameet on Sunday afternoon due to the unfavorable weather conditions.

That did not stop sophomore throwing specialist Candace Jackson, as the Yorkville, Ill., native turned in a personal-best, 12th-place heave of 13.59 meters in the weight throw. Senior Meghan Connelly (12.21 meters) and freshman Jasmin Jackson (9.51 meters) each turned in season-bests in the weight throw as well.

Sophomore jumper Sarah Morrison rounded out the competitors for the Flames, picking up a 12th-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 4.46 meters.

UIC will be back in action on Saturday morning, as they will travel to Champaign, Ill., to participate in the Illinois Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
