    Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago freshman Laura Otepka opened up her collegiate career in fine fashion, capturing the high jump title with a leap of 4'8 " at the Chicago Pentangular on Saturday afternoon.

    The Flames also received third-place finishes from sophomore Jessica Fouche (55-meter dash, 7.42), freshman Rowsha LaBranche (200-meter dash, 26.47) and senior Jenni Goebel (1-mile run, 5:35.43).

    UIC will be back in action on January 24th, as they will travel to Charleston, Ill., to participate in the Eastern Illinois Invitational at 9:00 a.m.
