Chicago, Ill. - Senior Lubica Nadasska was named the Horizon League Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the period ending October 28th, the league office announced on Thursday.

Nadasska picked up two wins while in Ann Arbor at the ITA Regional, defeating Emily Youngstown State (6-2, 6-2) in the opening round.

In what head coach Shannon Tully described as "a huge win", Nadasska soundly defeated Butler's Molly Casperson, last season's Horizon League Newcomer of the Year, in a score of 6-2, 6-0.

Nadasska fell to Ashley Frey of Toledo 6-4, 6-3 in a hard-fought qualifying match.

Paired up with freshman Ilinca Cristescu, Nadasska finished her regional appearance with a well-fought loss in doubles to Ohio State's Cami Hubbs and Ally Mueller 8-3.

The UIC women's team caps off its fall season with the North Texas Invitational, held in Denton, Texas from November 2-4.
