INDIANAPOLIS - UIC women's tennis senior Haley Craig and junior Mariana Palacios were named to the All-League First Team at the Horizon League Tennis Awards Banquet Friday evening at the Riverwalk Banquet Center.

A native of Olathe, Kan., Craig competed at No. 1 singles in all but one match during the dual season.  Craig registered a 4-11 record at the No. 1 mark, 1-0 at No. 2, and went 3-3 against Horizon League opponents.

A Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador native, Palacios produced the team's best overall record as she went 14-3 in the dual season after competing at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles.  While going 6-1 against conference foes, Palacios went 2-0 at No. 1, 6-2 at No. 2 and 6-1 at No. 3.

Craig and Palacios spent the dual season competing alongside one another in doubles.  The duo came in with a record of 10-6 at No. 1 and went 6-1 against Horizon League opponents.  Craig had an additional dual season win when she went 1-0 with Kathryn Sharples.

Craig, Palacios and the Flames take to the courts at North Central High School, weather permitting, Saturday to face Detroit at 11 a.m. (CT) in the semifinal of the Horizon League Championship.  The contest will be a rematch from the regular season, when the Titans took a 4-3 win to snap the Flames' 146-match win streak.
