CHICAGO – For the 16th consecutive season, the UIC women’s tennis team (16-3/8-0 HL) has captured the No. 1 seed for the Horizon League Championship.  With a first-round bye, the Flames are scheduled to face No. 4 Butler or No. 5 Wright State on Saturday, April 28, at 1:30 p.m. (CT) at North Central High School in Indianapolis.

UIC heads into competition with a series of streaks on the line.  Seeking their 16th consecutive title, the Flames have won a program-best 14 matches in a row, in addition to winning their past 141 Horizon League matches, the top streak in NCAA tennis.
