Chicago, Ill. - Kristen McPhillips has been named the Horizon League women's tennis player of the week for the period ending April 15, the league office announced Tuesday.

McPhillips went a perfect 6-0 in league play this weekend, winning all singles and doubles matches on the road against league opponents.

The Willoughby, Ohio native defeated Detroit's Annie Moore (6-1, 6-3), Molly Keifer from Valparaiso (6-1, 6-0) and Wright State's Kenisha Webb (6-1, 6-1), all at the third singles position.

McPhillips also teamed up with Lubica Nadasska in the first doubles slot for the Flames, defeating Detroit's Moore and Zeljka Minic (8-5), Valparaiso's Keifer and Jenny Schwartz (8-0), and Webb and Christa Ames of Wright State (8-1).

The sophomore is 5-0 in league matches in both singles and doubles, and has a 12-3 singles dual match record during the entire season.

The Flames will head to Milwaukee for their final road match of the season, facing off against the Panthers at 12 p.m.
