CHICAGO – UIC head women’s tennis coach Shannon Tully announced the signing of Bianca Zuzu (Markham, Ontario, Canada/Bill Crothers Secondary) and Melika LeBlanc (Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada/Westmount Secondary) on Monday. Zuzu and LeBlanc will join the Flames in the fall of 2014 as they kick off their collegiate careers.

“I am very excited to welcome both Bianca and Melika to the Flames family,” Tully said. “They are two very talented and intelligent student-athletes who bring a lot of competitive experience to our program. I am looking forward to working with both players individually."

A native of Markham, Ontario, Canada, Zuzu is finishing her final year at Bill Crothers Secondary. Zuzu, a product of the Ace Tennis Club, has competed in many circuits throughout her career and reached the top 12 at the U18 Outdoor Canadian Junior Nationals.

A Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada native, LeBlanc is in her senior year at Westmount Secondary, where she has competed in cross country and hockey. Also a member of the Ace Tennis Club, LeBlanc has won six Atlantic titles and qualified for two Canada games during her tennis career.
