2004 Wildcat Invitational Day Two Results in PDF Format
Evanston, Ill.- The UIC women's tennis team completed the second day of the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern in Evanston on Saturday, notching two singles wins and a doubles victory. Melanie Humphrey and Christina Oum opened the day with an 8-5 doubles win over Robyn White and Ariana Marshall of Louisville. Iris Jaklin went the distance in her singles match with Jill Palen of Iowa State, but the UIC junior came out on top with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 comeback win. Corey Steven followed with a 6-3, 6-2 singles triumph over Iowa State freshman Chrissy Derouin, the sister of former UIC standout and two-time Horizon League Player of the Year Nicole Derouin. The Flames conclude the Wildcat Invitational tomorrow.
